Suzanne Lance, Assistant Director of the New York State Writers Institute and active member of the Adirondack Forty-Sixers, is featured on the front page of today's Times Union in a story written by Paul Grondahl.
Suzanne wrote the history chapter of the new book, Heaven Up-h'isted-ness: The History of the Adirondack Forty-Sixers and the High Peaks of the Adirondacks (2011). She also served as production manager for the book.
"For lead author and editor Suzanne Lance, eight years she spent researching and writing the book was a labor of love. She was born into it. Her father, Bill Lance, got involved because his Sunday school teacher at Grace Methodist Church in Troy, Ed Hudowalski (No. 6) and the church's pastor, Ryder (No. 7), brought the youngsters along on their spiritually-tinged Adirondack hikes...."
