NYC Haikus in the NY Times

Marie Howe, NY State Poet under the auspices of the NYS Writers Institute, selected haikus about New York City in a National Poetry Month contest in the  New York Times.

Here are two entries:

On the 6 to Spring
two cops help a tourist whose
map is upside down

Frances Richey, 63, Manhattan

Beware the puddle
of indeterminate depth
that swallows boots whole
Mary M. Suk, 44, Queens
